This page covers both the terms under which you use Vera ("the Service") and how we handle your personal data.

Part A — Terms of Service

1. The Service

Vera is a research-preview conversational AI for self-reflection. It is not a medical, therapeutic, legal, or financial service and must not be used as a substitute for qualified professional advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Vera.

3. Your account and consent

You are responsible for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate others. By using Vera, you acknowledge and accept the privacy terms set out in Part B, including the explicit Data Processing Consent.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Vera to harm yourself or others, collect information about third parties, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service, transmit unlawful or infringing material, or circumvent rate limits and security measures.

5. Research preview

Vera is a research preview. Features may change or be withdrawn. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or accuracy. Insights are exploratory and non-diagnostic.

6. Intellectual property

All software, models, prompts, and frameworks are the intellectual property of Elemnts AI Ltd. You retain ownership of what you speak or submit. You grant us a limited licence to process your content to deliver the Service and, with identifiers removed, to improve our models.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elemnts AI Ltd is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Termination

You may stop using Vera at any time. We may suspend access if you breach these Terms or if required by law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Part B — Privacy

1. What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image. We never receive your Google password.

When you use Vera, we record your voice, generate a transcript, and derive insights from that transcript. We also log basic technical data (browser, timestamp, IP) for security and operations.

2. Data Processing Consent

By continuing, you provide explicit consent for Elemnts AI Ltd to process your voice, narrative statements, and any sensitive information you may voluntarily disclose. This processing is used solely to generate insight reports and improve the underlying models. Your data is encrypted, pseudonymised where possible, and never sold. You may withdraw consent at any time.

3. How we use it

To provide Vera's conversational and insight features, to contact you about your account, to improve our models in aggregate with identifiers removed, and to meet legal obligations.

4. Where we store it

All personal data is stored in Google Cloud and Firebase datacentres in London (europe-west2). Data is not transferred outside the UK or EEA without appropriate safeguards.

5. Who can access it

You. Elemnts AI Ltd staff under confidentiality, only where needed to operate the Service. Our sub-processors: Google Cloud and Firebase. We do not sell or rent your data to any third party.

6. Retention

Account and transcript data is retained while your account is active. Email connect@elemnts.ai to request deletion; we respond within 30 days. Aggregated data with identifiers removed may be retained for research.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Email connect@elemnts.ai. You may also contact the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

8. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. No advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Changes

We post the date of the latest update above. Material changes are communicated by email.
